Senior Fullstack Engineer

What you'll do

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at DevOptix, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack web applications using Java and Spring for backend development and Angular and React for frontend development.
• Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces, adhering to UI/UX design best practices and accessibility standards.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance using relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs to enable seamless communication between systems.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jest, or Jasmine to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins to automate development workflows.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.

Who you are:

You are a passionate and experienced developer who thrives on solving complex challenges and creating impactful digital solutions. You have:

• 8+ years of experience in fullstack web development, with strong competency in Java and Spring for backend development.
• Strong experience with Angular and React for frontend development (in that order).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in database design and management with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with third-party APIs.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

We will be extra happy if you have:

• AI & Generative AI Interest -- Hands-on experience or a passion for exploring emerging technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Spring AI, or API-based LLMs is a plus.
• Dutch Language Journey -- While English is our primary working language, speaking Dutch is important for our long-term success in the local market. We hope all our consultants reach a B2 level of Dutch. If you are on your Dutch journey, we are happy to support you with training and certification up to B2 level.
• Industry Experience -- Prior experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications, or similar industries.
• Knowledge Sharing -- A passion for writing technical blogs, public speaking, open source or to contribute to the tech community in another way.
• Educational Background -- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
